Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FirstAIClass ("the Service"), operated by RetenzAI("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use FirstAIClass. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 in compliance with COPPA.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscription & Billing

FirstAIClass offers the following subscription plans:

  • Monthly Plan— $19.99/month, billed monthly.
  • Annual Plan— $199.99/year ($16.67/month effective), billed annually.
  • Team Plans— per-seat pricing available for organizations (see Section 8).

All subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method on a monthly or annual basis until you cancel.

5. Free Trial

New users may receive a 14-day free trial of the full platform. Your payment method will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged at the applicable rate.

Module 1 (AI Fundamentals) is always free and does not require a subscription or payment method.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • You retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period.
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
  • Your study progress, quiz scores, and earned certificates are retained and accessible if you resubscribe.

7. Certification

FirstAIClass offers optional AI Literacy Certificates for a one-time fee of $49 per certificate. Certificates are:

  • Issued upon achieving a minimum score of 85% on the relevant module assessment.
  • Non-refundable once issued and delivered.
  • Verifiable via a unique URL. FirstAIClass does not guarantee that third parties will recognize or accept our certificates.

8. Team Plans

Organizations may purchase team plans with per-seat licensing. The organization administrator ("Org Admin") is responsible for:

  • Managing team member access and seat assignments.
  • Ensuring all team members comply with these Terms of Service.
  • Payment for all seats in the team subscription.

Team plan pricing, minimum seat counts, and enterprise features are available upon request via our For Teams page.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

FirstAIClass uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content, quizzes, explanations, and study materials. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
  • Content is provided for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
  • We review AI-generated materials but cannot guarantee completeness or timeliness.
  • You should not rely solely on FirstAIClass content for professional, legal, medical, or financial decisions.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and course materials on FirstAIClass are owned by RetenzAI or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

Your study data, quiz responses, and progress information remain yours. We use this data only to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access.
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the Service.
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Circumvent payment or access restrictions, including sharing certificate verification URLs to misrepresent completion.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RetenzAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
